Autumn/Winter 07/08 A Season of Quiet Harmony

Autumn/Winter 2007-2008 is a season of quiet harmony. Colors are worked with gentleness and precision. Exciting contrast comes in stunning hot and cold combinations. Graceful lights and skin tones are offset with metal patina, while uniform neutrals and artificial primaries offer diversity of expression. Fabrics emphasise quality, comfort and performance. Technology works in balance with nature, as refined blends are derived from raw, rough materials. Wools, canvases, denims, furs and leathers take on new aspects through historical-inspired adornment. Satins, chiffons, lace and tulle shimmer with touches of oxidised metal. Jacquards and prints are keys. Fabric juxtapositions prevail in intriguing pairings of soft and hard, matte and shine, opulent and plain. The emotional factor becomes increasingly important as consumers seek products that not only meet practical and aesthetic needs, but also possess integrity, magic and soul.
ENCHANTMENT

Ballet and dance are the focus of this refined fairy tale. From the dreams of little girls emerges an ultra feminine world of softness, lightness and suppleness. Fantasy and sparkle infuse playful allure.

Colors

A romantic and sensuous range.  Sophisticated skin tones, soft grays and metal patina breathe delicate luxury.  Slightly faded hues spring from the worn pages of cherished storybooks.

Fabrics

Fabrics are inspired by intimate wear. Satins, chiffons, lace and tulle bewitch with oxidised metallic effects. Silky and fluid handles abound. Simple knitwear surfaces in elegant cashmeres and silks. Comfort and cosiness are essential with casual fleeces and French terry.

Prints

Plain and ornamental aspects combine. Tone-on-tone wallpaper and stencil prints are decorative yet refreshing. Hand-drawn floral and flat animal silhouettes bring whimsy to the story.

INDIGENOUS

Free spirits transform uniform, worker and religious attire into powerful urban statements. Injecting their own individual charm, they brashly mix unexpected street and historical elements. A youthful attitude filled with innovative details.

Colors

A staple palette of malleable neutrals. Earthy brown, uniform green and slate blue provide inexhaustible combinations for creative experimentation with historical references.

Prints

Graphic conservational prints appear in sombre natural tones. Soviet propaganda posters lend their distinct style, sharp typography and direct messages. Vintage plaids and geometric prints add to the edgy mix.

ENTHUSIASM

A deceptively simple, yet extremely sophisticated approach. Street influences are reworked through highly technical and industrial design. Aesthetic and performance go hand in hand in this pragmatic modern style.

Colors

Vivid primaries collide with eye-catching artificial brights. The intense collages created are invigorating and electrifying.

Fabrics

Fabrics are hard-wearing, but remain light and comfortable. Stretch and supple, they appear in plain or blocked colors. Synthetics combine with naturals to achieve maximum performance. New technologies in garment construction employ seamless, laser cutting and seaming techniques.

Prints

Stylised screen-prints are applied to denims and sweats. Industrial graphics and street graffiti layered across every surface. Japanese ‘Irezumi' tattoos join in the mix.

ANDROGYNOUS

A feminine voice resonates elegantly with masculine undertones. Deep blues and hot reds contrast in a bold, provocative tango. Avant-garde florals and eccentric prints emit strength, while structured silhouettes command attention.

Colors

A palette of tonal contradictions where hot and cold couplings interplay: fuchsia and red, ink and navy. The combination is powerful and arresting.
