With the IGEDO Fashion Fairs Düsseldorf held at the Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre from 23-25 July, the IGEDO Company is the first organizer to bring together four international fashion fairs under one roof.

For three days CPD Düsseldorf, HMD (Herrenmode Düsseldorf), BODY LOOK with bodytex and GLOBAL FASHION presented their latest collections for Spring/Summer 2007. Also on show were their current re-order and pronto-moda lines at the Düsseldorf fair grounds.

Successful premiere            The philosophy of the IGEDO Fashion Fairs Düsseldorf is to bring together new partners through the four “exhibition pillars”.
The positive results of the trade fairs demonstrated that this new concept is correct, forward-thinking and international in format. The fashion event on the Rhine attracted 44,000 trade visitors in total, 40% of whom came from abroad. While other exhibition locations report declining attendances the visitor figures for this show demonstrate a high degree of acceptance for the Düsseldorf events.
Compared to the previous year the importance of pre-orders has remained almost unchanged: at CPD they accounted for around 16% (2005: 15.6%), at HMD for 13.7% (15.1%) and at Body Look for about 9.5% (9.6%). Visitor profile            The proportion of foreign visitors confirmed the magnetic appeal of the fairs as an event of international standing.  More than 40% of visitors to CPD came from abroad, up 10%  from last year.
The proportion of first-time visitors was 15.7% at CPD, 18.2% at HMD and 23.4% at Body Look
First-time visitors were also attracted by the new and clear segmentation of the individual exhibition areas. The independent presentation of CPD, HMD and Body Look was well received. Events & Awards            The diversified and trade-focused program of supporting events held over the three days of the exhibition helped re-ignite enthusiasm in the apparel sector.
The CPD Shows, HMD-Shows and the Trend-Show Beachwear/ Bodywear provided an initial overview of the new collections and kicked-off the new round of orders for Spring/Summer 2007. The “Power of D” catalogue presented all exhibitors at Düsseldorf and brought everyone together at a poolscape installed in the fair grounds.

HMD – Herrenmode Düsseldorf

HMD made its first appearance at the IGEDO Fashion Fairs Dusseldorf.
The menswear collections for Spring/Summer 2007 offered retailers a compact overview of the latest menswear trends. New exhibitors included firms like Digel, Gebrüder Weis, Clipper, Belika, and Pelo. Coming from the menswear segment at CPD to fly their fashion flags here were brands such as Alberto, Einhorn, Hatico, Olymp, Brühl, and the Seidensticker Group.
Düsseldorf corporate consultants HFU counted around 8,000 trade visitors. BODY LOOK with bodytex            Record figures were recorded for the premiere of BODY LOOK with bodytex in Dusseldorf.
There were 196 exhibitors and 7,500 trade visitors at the premiere. Around a fifth of the visitors came from abroad to be at the “Rhenish premiere” of the international trade fair for body, beach and legwear, fabric and accessories. This means that both the attendance and internationality doubled compared with the previous event in Leipzig. GLOBAL FASHION            The international fair specialized in contract manufacturing, sourcing and private-label production.
Held for the sixth time as an independent event running concurrently with CPD, Global Fashion has established itself as the world’s largest event for CMT and imports among exhibitors and visitors. Nearly 2,000 trade visitors attended, up by a third from 2005.            Global Fashion established contacts with potential new production and joint-venture partners for future collections, identified suppliers for rapid deliveries and provided an overview of the ranges displayed by the 450 exhibitors.
Newcomers such as the Department of Export Promotion from Thailand, which organized a group participation of ten companies, were impressed. Jatuporn Wattanasuwan, Director at the Department of Export of the Ministry of Commerce of the Royal Thai Government, said: “For the next fair we want to bring companies to Düsseldorf again and probably also organize a second group of companies that already produce their own lines.” Dairy Dates            Between 4-6 February 2007, under the umbrella of the IGEDO Fashion Fairs Dusseldorf, CPD, HMD, Body Look and Global Fashion will present their new Autumn/Winter collections for 2007/08 and from 22-24 July 2007 their new 2008 Spring/Summer collections.
